What the what!?!?

I am NOT a night person. Not even a little bit. Come double digits I get sassy and I'm ready for bed. Well tonight that is not the case. I can not sleep and it's driving me crazy. Methinks its either that I took a very late, 3 o'clock nap today, or that I've relied on Nyquil for the past week to keep me from coughing all night and now I'm out. Either way I wish I was sleeping right now and not blogging.

I have kept myself entertained by playing with photo booth. The best part is that is the frame is black and I can't see the picture until its already taken-surprise effect if you will. I won't post the ones that were entitled stretch, bulge, dent, or squeeze. Yikes! (slash super funny for my own viewing pleasure).

note-i've kicked my terrible, no good, very bad mood (obviously) Now if I could only get to sleep....next up-I'm putting in a movie until I can't keep my eyes open any longer.

It could be worse

I'm in a sour mood today. I've been pretty down in the dumps, but thats only because I've let myself. While scrolling through ffffound I saw these words and it made me stop and think. Things really could be worse. I've got it pretty great. I need to learn how to take the bad along with the good because in the end, life is a learning lesson. A journey that I am in control of. If I keep my chin up, and keep an open heart and mind, things will turn out ok. Each day is a stepping stone to the next. I'm still learning who I am, yet becoming the person who I want to be at the very same time.

Oh life. Take is easy on me sometimes. My heartstrings have been pulled on enough today.

Fa Mulan

Danni likes to press the arrows on my computer and scroll through the pictures in my photo booth, mostly because she is in the majority of them. Well, this morning while she was scrolling through she stopped at this picture, giggled and said, "Katie, you're Mulan!"

Do I take that as a compliment?

It's the weekend.

This week has flown by! I'm so happy it's Friday. Jason is home in Idaho until Sunday. While he's away I plan to catch up with girlfriends, eat sushi, hit the gym, start a new book and possibly venture to the movies solo. I actually really enjoy doing that.

Over it

Call me a downer if you want but I am OVER the Winter Olympics already. Jason watches faithfully every night from 7-10. I dont think I can take another week of this.

Forts

My forts were never this cool. Methinks I'm now inspired to make a fort this magnificent as an adult. A girl always needs a little get-a-way right? Why not in something homemade and as awesome as this? <3

Slab Pizza

Two nights ago, Jason and I tried a new pizza place in Provo called Slab. YES. PLEASE. You get a huge slice (a quarter of the pizza to be exact) and a drink for only 5 bucks! So affordable and so delicious. I tried the Thai chicken pizza and it was divine. Next time I want to try the New Mexico Green Chile. Yummmm. Jason just sticks to the standard pepperoni which still tastes great. The best part is that you can either chose a fountain drink or a Jones Soda to have with your slice. Woot! Strawberry Lime Jones is my absolute fav. So if you live in Provo,or happen to be driving through anytime soon you should definitely go there. Your taste buds will thank you.

If you are in need of a new show to get into, I would highly recommend It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I promise you won't regret it. My little brother bought me seasons 1 & 2 for Christmas. It only took Jason and I about a week to finish them. Tonight we ventured to FYE to buy seasons 3 &4. I love it!

Today's Pro's and Con's

1)*PRO-Saints won the superbowl. (the inspirational video about New Orleans in the pre-game show tugged on my heart strings.)

*CON-football is boring.

2)*PRO-the superbowl food was AMAZING. (Thank you self+plus Costco)

*CON-pretty sure I gained ten pounds from today's caloric intake.

3)*PRO-I start running tomorrow, therefore becoming one step closer to "Hot Bod 2010".

*CON-I start running tomorrow. Catch 22.

4.)*PRO-Valentine's Day is this week.

*no possible CON to that one.

I'm suffering from food coma right now. I'm laying on the couch watching Dateline NBC's, Predator Raw. Weird, slash awesome.

Rainy Days

How lovely would it be if every time it rained, umbrellas were pulled out on clothes lines and we didn't ever have to worry about getting wet?

Millions of thoughts.

I have so many things I want to say but sometimes I feel like I just don't know how.

My mind is like a ticking clocking, always in motion.

Why didn't I ever keep a journal? Why is it that I only wrote when I had to? I use to be a really great writer.

I'm going to work on that.

Flowers

As I was reading my daily blogs this morning, Cup of Jo posted a picture of a flower market. Have you ever been to one? It looks amazing! I've never been but I'd probably buy up the whole place if I ever went. I loveeeeeee fresh flowers. I hope someday I can have a nice bouquet on my kitchen table every week.
