Have you ever been to Glacier National Park in Montana? I can't stop daydreaming about this place. Right now it's 27 degrees and I'm all snuggled up on the couch but man do I wish I was back in this beautiful national park! (circa July...i'm sure it freezing there now). It was our first visit to Glacier and definitely not our last. You guys, I had no idea it was so beautiful! My very best friend Dane invited us for a short visit and I can honestly say that it was the most fun we had all summer. We kayaked down the Flathead river, ate huckleberry ice cream, swam in the clearest lake i've ever seen, barbecued and stayed up late laughing with two of the greatest guys I know. I can hardly wait until it warms up again cuz you can bet your boots we'll be back! Here's a few pictures from our trip. If you have't been I suggest you go! It's unbelievably gorgeous and so much fun.

Last month Jason and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. I think I delayed writing this post because it is hard for me to put into words the amount of love I have for this man. I wake up every morning thinking, "how is it possible to love you more today then I did yesterday?" Being able to wake up everyday next to your very best friend is the absolute best! There is no one in the world that I would rather spend my time with.

Jason, thank you for being mine. Thank you for making me feel more loved then I ever thought possible. And thank you for making my life more and more wonderful every single day.

Zucchini Cakes!

Once again, a big thank you to one of my favorite blogs for this recipe. I could eat these every day. For reals. My current obsession with zucchini is almost as big as my butternut squash infatuation.

Shredded zucchini+a beaten egg+breadcrumbs+parmesan cheese+red pepper flakes+s&p

Form into patties and cook for a few minutes on each side on the stove in a little evoo. Top with sour cream, a sliced tomato, avocado and a squeeze of a lemon.

Seattle!

With Jason in law school, there aren't a whole lot of opportunities for us to take vacations mostly for two reason: A-he's ridiculously busy and B-law school means we are broke as a joke. ;) When we realized that Jason had a day off for the holiday we took advantage of the occasion and headed out! Seattle's just a quick 4 hour drive away so we packed up, left early and were there before we knew it.

Our first stop was the Mariners game! Jase made sure we were there early (an hour and a half to be exact) so we could be one of the first 15,000 to get a free hat. Ha! Note to self-free hats are cheap hats and are not worth the ridiculously early arrival. Don't tell Jason I said that though he loves the hat. The game was a blast! Afterall, baseball is the great American past time and being there the day before our Nation's birthday only seemed fitting.

Next up was the public market. Get ready for a confession-this weekend was the very first time in my 25 years of existence that I've eaten fried fish! Can you believe it? Well I must say I was highly impressed with the fresh cod Ivar's had to offer and I plan on going back on our next visit. My friend so sweetly told me that I've set my fried fish bar way too high now being that I ate it fresh from the ocean and I won't be satisfied with anything else. That's ok though. Like Jason's favorite quote states, "I've got the simplest of taste. I'm always satisfied with the best."

The weather this weekend was absolutely perfect. Not a cloud in site for three straight days. We took advantage of the clear skies and ate at the restaurant atop the space needle. The food was deliciously overpriced but I justified it by saying that we were paying for the experience and memories.

We ended our trip with a bang. We watched the fireworks over lake Union. I'm gonna make a bold statement here-that was probably the best fireworks show I've ever seen. The place was a little too crowded for my liking but without a doubt the show did not disappoint.

All in all, we had a fabulous weekend. I love living so close to a big major city. Weekend getaways are a lot more fun when you have a cool place to visit. Thanks for the memes Seattle! We promise we'll come visit again soon.

Summer Bevy

My most favorite summer beverage is a tall, ice cold glass of mint limeade. When I lived in Utah I use to go the Provo Farmer's Market every Saturday. There was a stand that sold the most amazing limeade that my taste buds had ever come in contact with! I copycated the recipe and now I can have it when every my little heart desires.

Mint Limeade

1 large mason jar

5 small limes

1/2 c. organic sugar (it has to be organic. that's the secret ingredient)

mint leaves

h2o

Half the limes and use a good citrus squeezer to get all the juice out. I like using this one. Pour lime juice into the mason jar. Fill jar with water-not all the way, leave about 2 inches. Add sugar, put lid on and shake shake shake! Next add your mint leaves. I like to pour a little of limeade into a bowl and muddle the mint leaves. Add back to the mason jar and repeat your shake shake shakes! Pour over ice (or in my case just drink straight out of the jar) and enjoy!

America's favorite past time

Last weekend Jason and I went to the Gonzaga baseball tournament. It was over the span of three days and for the most part it was a blast! Spokane has been having some odd cold fronts for this time of year. The pictures above are from Friday's game-rain, hail and about 45 degrees. By Sunday's game though the weather was perfect-sunny and in the low 70's. I really love going to baseball games. I grew up going to spring training games back and AZ so baseball has always had a special place in my heart. There's nothing better then eating hot dogs, drinking a coke and cheering on your favorite team to really get summer started! And the players in those cute uniforms aren't that bad either ;)

Last weekend Jason and I took and unexpected trip to Portland. Jason's grandpa passed away and although the circumstances for our trip were unfortunate, the time we spent with family and exploring a new city was wonderful. I really love that Portland is only 5 hours away. It's the perfect little getaway when we need a break from Spokane.

PS- Have you seen these videos? Portland is exactly like that. ;) If you haven't seen the Portlandia series I suggest you watch all the episodes! So so funny.

Guess who just finished his first year of law school???

This first year was full of late nights in the library, law books all over my living room, random case stories told over dinner and a boy who worked a whole lot harder then I ever imagined! They say the first year is the hardest. Man, I hope that's true cause Jason could sure use some of that heavy load lifted. I am so incredibly proud of my husband. Some days may not have been easy, but I can tell you so far it's been worth it. Every sacrifice he is making is not going unappreciated or unnoticed. I am so happy where we are right now and the effort that Jason is putting forth to give us a good future.

Dumpster Diver

I can safely say that I now truly understand the expression, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Today as I was taking out the garbage I spotted this little gem in the dumpster. I couldn't believe someone would throw this beautiful globe away! I immediately scanned my surroundings to make sure no one was around to see me grab it out of the garbage. Should I be embarrassed about taking things out of the dumpster? I'm new at this. I ran back into my apartment on cloud nine and grinning from ear to ear about my new treasure. Jason thought I was crazy. I don't care though. :) I swear it was just what my living room was missing. I love it!

Oh, and did I mention that it lights up?! For reals, who would through this away?

So I got my hair cut last week. I've waited to post a picture mostly because I hate all the pictures I took in photo booth. That sounds so narcissistic. ha. But for reals, why can't I take a good picture? Ugh. Being a girl blows sometimes. Always trying to get our cute on...

So there it is! Back to the ol' bob. I grew my hair out for the wedding, which was six months ago. Last week I got the urge to cut it so I did. And I have no regrets. I've always liked short hair. It's always fun to mix things up. :)

Did I ever tell you about the time that Jason and I drove to Idaho (we live in WASHINGTON, mind you..) to eat at a fast food joint? Not just any fast food though, the beloved DEL TACO! I can't tell you how sad we were when we found out there wasn't a Del anywhere in Spokane! Freaking Taco Time took over-NAS-TY. So one Saturday afternoon we decided succumb to our chicken soft taco/del nacho cravings and drove to the next state to satisfy it.

This evening while I was getting ready for bed, I neatly stacked our toss pillows in their usual home. Tonight though their towering sight made me giggle. This photo is sure proof that I am Pam Gerber's daughter. My mother has given me a love for these babies. Jason thinks they are ridiculous but I know he secretly loves how cute they make our bed look! :)

I just purchased this rug from CB2. You buy the rug by the square so you can make is as large as you want and you can mix up how they are arranged. I really love the look of it, but I don't love how easily it shows dirt. :( (Please ignore the crap under the bed. Our apartment has absolutely no storage space.)

I made this necklace holder awhile back and I absolutely love it! I got the wood and stain at home depot, the nobs at hobby lobby (on sale, even better) and had myself a little craft night! It was super easy and super cheap. I love how it turned out.

Lastly here's a picture of us with our Anthro mugs. We used them as decor for the wedding and now we get to enjoy them forever! That's the best part of using practical decor in a wedding, you get to make good use of it after. :) Thanks mom.

So I have a problem. Sometimes (every time) I pick out all the "reds" or all the "purples" from any package of candy. It drives Jason crazy! I just can't help it though. All the other flavors are gross. I really didn't think I was as bad as Jason says I am until tonight. While the boy was at school, I opened up some of his valentines candy that I bought him (cause I knew he would want to share with me :) Well, I lost track of time perusing the intranetz and next thing I know, all the reds were gone! I guess the first step to recovery is acceptance. I am a candy color hog. New goal-eat all the colors of the rainbow. Or should I just give up candy all together? I'll go with the first option. ;)

It's a new year already?

Hello February. January just flew right by, didn't it? I've had a hard time snapping back into reality after returning home from Hawaii. I just keep wishing I was warm, tan, and laying on a beach. Instead, I spend a good amount of the day in sweatpants, curled up in blanket and eating comfort foods because that's allowed in the winter. My days are tedious. I go to work. I come home. I watch a lot of Dexter. I do yoga. I complain about being cold (probably a little too much, sorry Jason) and I go to bed, only to get up and do it all over again. I've realized I am a true sun child. Being raised in 108 degree AZ heat made me this way. I YEARN for warmth. I need those vitamin D rays running through my veins to be my happiest self.

N.E.wayz. Enough about that.

We've FINALLY finished decorating our apartment. I really really like it. It finally feels like home. As soon as I get motivated and clean, I'll take some pictures and post them. Until then, enjoy these few pics from December. (The camera didn't come out once in January..sorrs!)

Do you see the line? We waited 20 minutes outside in the freezing cold for VooDoo Donuts in Portland. I wasn't sure at first if we were nuts but let me tell you...they were worth it.

Here we are at Waimea Bay. Five minutes prior to this photo we were POUNDED by 12 foot waves. The life guard kept warning the swimmers that it wasn't safe to swim but Jason and I like to live life on the wild side. ;)

And I quote, "I think I just got diabetes from that one serving of shaved ice." -Jason. Why the heck did we both get one of those?! I went into a serious sugar coma after consuming that right there. Don't worry, there was ice cream under that mountain of shaved ice too....

This post is a few days late, but that's kinda in my nature when it comes to Danielle. Never in my life have I met anyone more punctual than this girl. We use to meet at Elmers for lunch at least once a week and I was notoriously late every time! She never ceased to call me each time and give my a hard time about my tardiness. :) We met way back in 2005 where we worked together at a doctors office. Her and I couldn't be more opposite but I think that is what drew us to one another. To this day I consider her one of my very best friends. She's kind, funny, a movie lover and a music guru...she picks out the BEST birthday cards, gives the most thoughtful gifts and seriously has the sexiest tattoos i've ever seen.

Italian Soup

Jason and I had dinner with our friends Amanda and RJ and they made us the BEST soup. It's my new favorite. I got the recipe from Amanda and made it tonight for dinner. Absolutely delish. It's super easy and now a family favorite.

Ingredients:

1lb ground Italian sausage ( I use the spicy sausage)

2 cups of onion, chopped

1 cup carrot, diced

2 T. garlic, minced

4 cups of chicken broth

1 can chopped Italian style stewed tomatoes

1 cup of pasta (really any type is fine)

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped (I don't chop it, just throw it in)

Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

Brown the sausage in a large saucepan (just use your large pot, it is great because it is a one pot dish), over medium high heat. Add onion and carrot and saute for 3 mins. Stir in garlic and saute another 3 mins.

Add the broth and tomatoes, bring to a boil. Stir in the pasta and let it cook according to package directions (about ten mins). Add the spinach and cook about 1 min until wilted.

Serve by placing parmesan cheese over the soup.

So remember how Buster was dating Lucille 2 and she had vertigo? I KNOW HOW SHE FEELS! I woke up this morning with a stiff neck and a serious case of the dizzy spells. I thought it was something only old people got? Ughhhhhhh. The room is spinning and I cant walk without holding on to stuff.

Any of you experience the same thing? I am going to the chiropractor in the morning hoping he can adjust me back to normal. But if you have any further advice of how to make this crap go away I would love to know!

No words can express the amount of heartache I feel when I think about this little girl below. I thought that it wouldn't be too hard leaving Utah (and her) and starting a new life here in Washington. This my friends is not the case. I was with Danni since the very beginning. Literally. I was in the delivery room when she was born and was with her every day since for 3 and a half years. This child stole my heart. Don't get me wrong I miss the other 4 kids dearly, but the special relationship I had with Danni is something so unique, precious and irreplaceable. I get teary eyed now when I think of her and sometimes its a struggle to hold back my tears. Not a day goes by that I don't think of little Danni. Luckily we're able to video chat via the 4G iphone :) (Thanks Jason and Bunney for having awesome phones) My heart fills with joy when I hear her voice and see that cute little face!

Let me tell you, being a nanny may be one of the most rewarding jobs but be fore warned, it will tare your heart out come the day you have to move away and say goodbye.

Friday night was date night! Jason and I along with some friends we've made here in Spokane went and enjoyed the Manito Garden light show. It was pretty much a green house with lights draped around the plants. ha. It was a little silly but hey, we're still figuring out things to do here in Washington. We ended up having a great time with great company!

I started The Hunger Games two days ago. Done. Loved it. Good thing I didn't start reading the series until after all three books came out. I absolutely hate waiting! I am the most impatient person I know. Tomorrow I head to Utah for a week to take care of the kids I use to nanny one last time while their parents are out of the country. Jason will be left here to survive on pizza rolls and frozen burritos. I was suppose to prepare meals wasn't I? Whoops. Still learning all the wifey duties. ;)

I found my car buried in leaves this morning. There isn't an inch of ground that isn't covered. I love Fall!

Here's a sneak peak of my bedding which I am in LOVE with. I will post pictures of the whole place once she's all done and decorated. I have one room left the finish, and it's obvi this one. ha. Any suggestions on what to do with those white walls?

Welcome to wedding central! I've been home for a week and I have been VERY busy. Here's a few pictures that will help you see why:
This is my bedroom. My mom waited until I got here to inform me that I am room-less. That's right. I am continuing to live out of a suitcase and was given the option to sleep on the couch or bunk with Connie. Conj has been nice enough to let me share her bed. Love that girl. (If you haven't heard, Jason's sister Connie moved to AZ and is staying with my parents for a while.) It's pretty awesome. I love love love having her here. Anyways, back to my room. Here is the China that we've been collecting. The idea is to have mix-matched plates on all the tables.

Here is the plethora of vases we've been collecting for the tables. They are so pretty and will be perfect for what we are planning to do!

Isn't this gazebo gorgeous?! My parents just had it built in the backyard. After the temple sealing we are having a ring exchange before the reception. (I have more family that aren't members of the church then that are...it just seems right to have something for them to be apart of.) Under this gazebo is where it will take place....at sunset. So dreamy...

Here's the awesome chandelier that hangs inside. Gorgeous! We have lots of chandeliers that will be hanging under different things in our yard. This was my mom's idea and I think its perfect.

My mom is a total nut and decided to build all the tables for the yard! (and by nut, I mean totally awesome. That woman is amazing and can do anything. I am so lucky to have her help me with all my crazy ideas. My mom rules) These are the table legs that just got stained.

And here are the table tops! We spent hours gluing is the hot AZ sun but it was totally worth it. They turned out gorgeous.

See?!? It's beautiful! Isn't my mom the greatest?

Here's Connie doing her favorite thing since moving to Arizona. She has been so willing to help with all the wedding craziness, but when we have some down time, by the pool is where she can be found. She is turning into quite the bronze goddess.

Remember Me?

I hardly remember how to work computers anymore now that I'm with out. I'm currently blogging on my boss's PC...definitely a switch from my beloved mac!

So here's a short update-

1. I have 9 days left in Utah. It's gonna to be a bittersweet goodbye. Especially when I leave my sweet little Danni. (Seriously it's gonna rip my heart out.)

2. My dress is currently being altered and I pick it up next week! Wait till I post pictures. It's amazingggggg.

3. I get married in 43 days! Yipee! Thank goodness for my countdown app on my iphone. (It goes a little slow for my liking though. :)

4. I haven't see Jason in almost 3 weeks nor will I till we say "I do". :( It's been hard, but time is actually going a lot faster then I thought. We talk every night which is so so wonderful (even though Jason HATES talking on the phone, he's a good sport and does it for me.) He is loving law school and seriously kicking butt. I am so incredibly proud of him.

5. We just booked our hotel room and airplane tickets for HAWAII in December! Woot! I can't wait.

Overall, things are going pretty great in my neck of the woods. I'm embarking on a lot of change that is coming upon me far too fast but I'm ecstatic about all of it! Once I get to AZ, it will be easier for me to blog on my mom's computer. So be patient, I promise to have far more interesting posts coming real soon!

Once upon a time I had a mac. It was a really beautiful one at that. It was the first "big girl" purchase I made. I saved up, designed one specific for me, and purchased it with my own moneyz.

Sadly, it has met its demise. :(

I was doing homework at work on Tuesday. I walked away from my computer for 5 minutes and the stupid cat knocked over a glass of water all over my open laptop.

It's fried. Gone baby gone.

I cried for a good two hours after this tragedy. Luckily though, I was able to retrieve all my documents off it. (pictures, music, the 10 page paper that I was working on moments before the accident...) The computer itself though? All gone. No more. byebye.

I know I've been a terrible blogger lately due to school, work and planning a wedding but my blogging life may become even more non existent until I am able to replace my precious macintosh.

If you know anyone giving away free Mac's, lemme know k? Cuz getting married is EX-PEN-SIVE. Right now couches, dressers, tables and chairs are priority over buying a new computer.

Hmph. I feeling liking pouting all over again.

Bridal Shower!

This weekend I came home for my bridal shower! Rachel and Brynn are amazing and threw together such a fun night! It was so wonderful to see all of my girlfriends again. There was a fabulous crepe bar, fun games, and great company to make for one amazing evening.

Spokane to be exact.

Jason was accepted to Gonzaga Law School and will be starting this fall! We found the cutest little condo that I will happily call home for the next few years. The plan so far is for him to move out there in August, start school, fly to Arizona for the weekend to get married, then be back to school by Monday with his new beautiful bride. It's going to be a fast, stressful weekend but luckily we've already decided to take a two week tropical honeymoon over Christmas to make up for no honeymoon in October.

That's not even the best part. Jason is going to apply for a study abroad in Italy next summer! WOOT! The course is only a month long, but we've decided to stay for an extra few weeks and travel around Europe. I'm finally going to be kissed on top of the Eiffel Tower!

This marriage this is working out pretty great so far, and we're not even married yet.

...Katie Widdison....I like how that sounds.

I am not a pet person. Not even a little bit. I hope to never own a dog, cat or even a fish. I don't like animals that shed, smell, or poop in the house. I hope that doesn't make me sound too cruel. I do like animals in general. I probably have even pet your dog or let your cat sit on my lap. I just plan on never being a pet owner. (Luckily Jason is right on board with me here. Hooray for allergies!)

If I was forced to own an animal, the only ones I would choose would be a giraffe, elephant or a dolphin. :) ha. I love exotic animals mostly because you admire them from a distance.

So. If I ever inherit a large sum of money, I may just buy an elephant so I can take a picture as adorable as the one above.

How ironic is it that I received this shirt in the mail and purchased this dress on the very same day? Ha. The first was purchased mostly for Jason, but I plan on wearing it a time or two this summer. And how 'bout that dress? It was love at first sight. The second I tried it on, I instantly knew it was the one. I'll have to do a few alterations to make it garment ready but my goal is to keep it as true as I can to the original.

Truth be told, I'm pretty excited to wear both. ;)

Taking this math course really has done me in. I have no time for anything important (like planning my wedding.) Luckily tomorrow I'm taking a break from algebraic expressions and logarithms and will be trying on wedding dresses with my BFF slash cousin Amie in Salt Lake City. I couldn't be more excited!

The Story.

For the past few weeks, Jason has been talking about going hiking. This past Saturday was the day! (Unknowing to me that he was going to propose.) He told me the night before that some friends were coming with so getting engaged didn't even cross my mind. I was kinda bummed because I secretly wanted him to propose before my birthday and this was the last weekend before it. At this point, I wasn't too hopeful that it would happen.

Jason woke me up bright and early on Saturday morning. 6 am to be exact. He told me that Marshall got called in to work the lunch shift so him and Beth wouldn't be able to make it. I totally believed him! We drove up to the base of of Squaw Peak and began our climb to the very tip top. Important things to know-Jason LOVES hiking. He doesn't enjoy any other physical activity except that. Me on the other hand, make me run 10 miles and I'll do it in a heartbeat, but make me climb a mountain up hill... not my favorite activity. I was a good sport for about the first hour and a half of the hike, mostly because I didn't know what I had gotten myself into. When Jason informed me that we still had two hours (after the first hour and a half) to go, I was not a happy camper...or hiker in this case. I complained for the next hour. No joke. I was the biggest baby. Jason was so kind though and reassured me that we were, "almost to the top". I decided after a good amount of complaining that I wasn't going to win so I better just suck it up because at this point we were not turning around.

The hike went from being steep, to steep and muddy, and then to steep and snowy. I couldn't believe that he still wanted to get to the top! At this point I changed my attitude and tried to just make happy conversation....even though my feet were frozen and I wasn't really having any fun.

After almost 4 hours of climbing uphill we made it to the top! It was gorgeous. I really had never seen anything so beautiful. I went and sat on the edge to rest and enjoy the view. OH! I forgot to mention that Jason carried a 2o pound pack back the whole time filled with snacks, water, his camera AND his tri-pod. Crazy. After about 5 minutes, Jason called for me to come back up to where he was.

He held me in his arms and told me how much he loved me. He told me that this hike could easily compare to relationships. He said that they can be hard at times and you may want to quit, but once you get to the top it's so worth it. Next, he grabs a little box out of his pocket, gets down on one knee and asks me to marry him!

I was stunned. I couldn't hold back the tears. Never in my entire life had a moment ever felt so perfect. Here I was, standing on top of a mountain with the man I loved, who, from this moment on was going to be the person I shared the rest of my life with. I can't express to you the intense confirmation I received at that very moment that THIS was right.

So, there it is! Our engagement story. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my very best friend.

Jason. I love you past the stars and the moon!

Time to officially plan a wedding!

After 1 year 7 months and 12 days of dating, Jason finally proposed! He did it Saturday morning on the very tip top of Squaw Peak. The crazy boy carried his tri-pod all the way up to the top so he could capture a few pictures of the event. He made me promise I wouldn't post any until after he edited them. As soon as that gets done, I'll post more pictures and the whole story !

After being back a whole week, I figure it's about time I blog about our little trip to vegas to see Conan O'brien on his, "legally prohibited from being funny on television" tour.

A-MA-ZING.

I laughed until my stomach hurt-and then laughed some more. I'm glad I got to share Jason's 25th birthday with him and Conan. The weekend could not have gone better.

He's obviously on cloud 9 in this picture. Jason has loved Conan his whole life and was more then excited to see him in person.

Remember Me?

Let me tell you about my life lately. Jason got a second job. I work every day from 7:30-4ish. Jason's first job is from 8-noon. Second job (serving at La Dolce Vida-double yum) is from 4-11. That means I get to see him for about 30 minutes each day because it's torture for me to try and stay up past midnight.

I'm not complaining. It's really not that bad. My point is, What should I do with all this free time?! Right now it includes daily napping, watching all my show's on Hulu (Modern Family, Parenthood, 30 Rock and most importantly, GLEE), attempting to do 60 minutes of cardio each day (failing at the one lately...oopsies), and convincing one of Jason's roommates to eat dinner with me.

See why I haven't blogged? Repetition. And boring repetition at that.

I've had a few requests to put up some pictures of my humble abode. To be honest, the only thing worth seeing is my bedroom. The rest of my house is of no importance. (AKA-not that cute.)

Not to be rude but I have the world's most comfortable bed. It's like sleeping on celestial clouds.

My room is about the size of a shoe box. I feel really lucky to have all these wonderful shelves. They keep me VERY organized.

I absolutely LOVE this picture that's hanging on my wall. It's entitled, Almond Branches in Bloom by Vincent Van Gogh. It's one of the prettiest shades of blue I've ever seen and it is definitely the focal point of my room. (Those beautiful roses there on the left are from the boy....for no good reason. I sure do love him.)

How pathetic is this closet? Do you see the mad pile of shoes on the ground? I guess I shouldn't complain too much, I've definitely had to deal with smaller closets. Maybe it's the amount of clothes I have? Never.

Here's my, "get ready" station. I sit right there on the ground and do my hair and make-up. I actually really love it.

On Saturday, Beth, Christine, Jason and I all went to the Hare Krishna festival of colors. Jason was our personal photographer since he chose not to participate in the actual throwing of the colors (He's asthmatic...and allergic. boringgggg). There were thousands of people there! We had to park 2 miles away and trek our way to the Hare Krishna temple. We got there just in time though to get dirty! Isn't it a pretty/dirty though? Purple was my favorite color to get hit with.

1. I gave in. I did it. I jumped on the band wagon if you will. I am the newest owner of the iphone. I was very hesitant at first. I realized though (with the influence of my sweet boyfriend) that I'd pay almost just as much for any other smart phone. I must say, I am LOVING it. Best purchase of 2010, hands down. How did I go so long without one???

2. Running SUXXX so far. Ugh. I haven't hit the 3 week mark yet but that's when it'll get easier.

3. The Academy Awards are tomorrow! Woot! I'll be watching from the red carpet pre-show right to the very end.

4. Alice in Wonderland was very good but I don't think it was THAT amazing to have to tease the world for a whole year with previews.

5. My hair is finally past my shoulders. (Let me tell you, getting it this far is quite the accomplishment.)

6. Summer is just around the corner! Yipee!

I am NOT a night person. Not even a little bit. Come double digits I get sassy and I'm ready for bed. Well tonight that is not the case. I can not sleep and it's driving me crazy. Methinks its either that I took a very late, 3 o'clock nap today, or that I've relied on Nyquil for the past week to keep me from coughing all night and now I'm out. Either way I wish I was sleeping right now and not blogging.

I have kept myself entertained by playing with photo booth. The best part is that is the frame is black and I can't see the picture until its already taken-surprise effect if you will. I won't post the ones that were entitled stretch, bulge, dent, or squeeze. Yikes! (slash super funny for my own viewing pleasure).

note-i've kicked my terrible, no good, very bad mood (obviously) Now if I could only get to sleep....next up-I'm putting in a movie until I can't keep my eyes open any longer.

I'm in a sour mood today. I've been pretty down in the dumps, but thats only because I've let myself. While scrolling through ffffound I saw these words and it made me stop and think. Things really could be worse. I've got it pretty great. I need to learn how to take the bad along with the good because in the end, life is a learning lesson. A journey that I am in control of. If I keep my chin up, and keep an open heart and mind, things will turn out ok. Each day is a stepping stone to the next. I'm still learning who I am, yet becoming the person who I want to be at the very same time.

Oh life. Take is easy on me sometimes. My heartstrings have been pulled on enough today.

Slab Pizza

Two nights ago, Jason and I tried a new pizza place in Provo called Slab. YES. PLEASE. You get a huge slice (a quarter of the pizza to be exact) and a drink for only 5 bucks! So affordable and so delicious. I tried the Thai chicken pizza and it was divine. Next time I want to try the New Mexico Green Chile. Yummmm. Jason just sticks to the standard pepperoni which still tastes great. The best part is that you can either chose a fountain drink or a Jones Soda to have with your slice. Woot! Strawberry Lime Jones is my absolute fav. So if you live in Provo,or happen to be driving through anytime soon you should definitely go there. Your taste buds will thank you.
